ABOUT ME

Rochelle Widdowson is an Emmy-nominated producer, director, journalist and documentary filmmaker. Her work ranges from breaking news and live TV to documentaries and docuseries. Most recently, Rochelle co-directed and produced a 3-part docuseries, 'Demons & Saviors' with Latchkey Films for ABC News Studios, streaming now on Hulu. Rochelle also worked on 'Inside Story' with VICE News and The Marshall Project, an 8-part series that brings investigative journalism on the criminal justice system to incarcerated people across the country.


Rochelle got her start in media at the age of 19 in her native Australia. After a couple of years in radio, she transitioned to TV news reporting while completing her journalism degree in Sydney. Rochelle covered news around Australia and in the capital, Canberra, where she reported on politics, courts and crime. Since making the move to the U.S., she has worked on Glad You Asked (Vox, YouTube Originals), Counter Space with Sophia Roe (Vice), The First 48 (A&E), Homicide Squad Atlanta (A&E) and many more.


She is passionate about social justice issues and trying to make sense of the world through storytelling. Rochelle lives in New York City.
